As a Network Technician at Bollnäs Energi, you will have a central and important responsibility for the operation and development of our municipal network together with the team.

Your main tasks:

• Operation and Maintenance: Ensure that our network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, and access points) functions as it should.
• Troubleshooting: Quickly find and resolve complex issues in our municipal network to minimize interruptions.
• Security: Configure and maintain our network equipment to protect the network from intrusions and threats.
• Installations & Upgrades: Assist with the installation and configuration of new network equipment in various parts of the network.
• Documentation: Update and maintain all documentation regarding the network's structure and configuration.

What You Need:

• Documented experience working with network equipment and operations in a larger network environment, preferably within telecommunications or municipal networks.
• Practical experience configuring and troubleshooting any of the following platforms: Huawei, Nokia SR7, Fortinet.
• Knowledge of Metro Ethernet technology and management of access switches (e.g., VLAN configuration, QoS).
• Experience with Layer 2/Layer 3 switches in access networks and handling customer CPEs (Customer Premises Equipment).
• Availability: The position involves being part of the company's on-call group and participating according to a rotating schedule.

Meritorious (Desirable):

• Knowledge of BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) for routing and traffic management. You need to implement and troubleshoot BGP configurations.
• Experience working with network equipment from several of our suppliers (Nokia SR, Fortinet, Huawei).
